We did this on my grandpas property 20 years ago. We pushed rebar down threw the rows and laid some horizontally. That river floods every year and its still holding.

I am not sure how this works on walls but this works extremely well if you lay the bags out like pavers. My grandfather lived on a lake and made his own boat ramp this way. I always thought that he had applied some type of texture or something to the concrete but one day I found out from my dad that he had just gotten bags like this and laid them out like tiles. They looks almost like pavers. He put them out there in the '60s and around 2010 it was looking as good as it could be.

Everytime it cracks, the extra dust inside will fix itself. This wall is outlive us all.

1, 000 years from now: "We still don't know how they built it!" Edit: 35k likes?! Wow. Thank you!

Wall was constructed better than the narrators sentences.

I like how you got halfway through that sentence and then realized you don't know the words you're trying to say. Brilliant bro.

this guy's never left a bag of concrete outside in the rain overnight thinking it's all good to move and find out it's now a boulder 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It was going fine until the HOA said the bags were the wrong color.

As an engineer; sometimes common sense is a great solution. I've seen engineers overthink some trivial problems.

I love when people talk out their ass about things they know nothing about. There are literal instructions on the bags on how to do this very thing. This is how it's done.

I helped build one just like that by stacking bags on rebarb but at an angle going up a hill. 1200 bags. That was when I was 15 and I'm 46 Its on a lake I still fish till this day and it's standing strong!

I built my house like this back in '38, no doors or windows but it's still standing strong & I've been trying to chisel my way out for years.

I work in the contracting/ construction world. Done Lots of decks… That looks like the 60 lbs bags of quickcrete, and I know the 50 lbs bags are designed to be poured in dry, and spray the top.. not sure if there’s a chemical difference in the 2, but I know most pour dry with the yellow bags and just wet it as they go…
I’ve also learned awhile back that LOTS of old timers have always poured dry on the theory of there being enough moisture in the ground along with spraying the top for the concrete to cure… haven’t heard of a problem yet..

I built a wall like this around my heart back in 1999. I poured my tears all over it and it's still holding strong today...saved my life and my sanity many times since.

You know it looked great after it dried and they painted it bright pink or lime green. Phew..that's art right there!
