I’m a retired beauty therapist and I always used baby shampoo to wash my makeup brushes. I have a make brush contraption that whizzes they brush at high speed which centrifugally pushes all dirt and makeup out of the brushes. Things like sharpeners I put in the dishwasher!

One extra cleaning tid-bit: after wiping off eye & lip pencils with alcohol; is to wipe out the "cap" with with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol.

Great Ideas! I also sanitize my palettes by wiping each color off with a Kleenex to remove surface powder, and then spray with 70% alcohol. Dries quickly and doesn’t effect the quality at all. I was suffering with conjunctivitis repeatedly, but not since I started doing this. I also wash my brushes weekly. 💕💕

I use Dawn dish soap to clean my brushes and the sponge I use to apply foundation. It works great!

I’m obsessed with tossing old mascara! When I open a new tube of mascara, I put a sticky mailing label on it with the date that I opened it so I know when to toss. I also try to open the first day of each quarter so I know to toss the old; i.e. January, April, July, and October are the months to toss my old mascara and open a new one. Love your videos, Dominique. Always so very helpful.

I’ve always used simple dish soap and hot water, rinse really really well let dry. No need for complicated products. Like many people here though, never thought of the pencils (and caps).

I find a clean, dry spoolie/old mascara brush is great for taking the "shine" off pan products!!

I'm a clean freak so these tips were awesome. Also, remember to wipe down the lash curler with alcohol as well as the inside of the Clarisonic (remove brush head first). I always look forward to your content.
