Thank you for sharing!! I’ll always remember my first Pow Wow in Yakima exactly 50 years ago, when I was seven. As we were close to the entrance, my mom (an old yt lady) pulled me out of the line and knelt down in front of me and said, “Pay attention, this is very important. These people do NOT have to let us in to witness their ceremonies. It is very kind of them to do so, and we are here to honor them. Be on your best behavior.” We went to many other Pow Wows, and they’re always so beautiful, but I’ll never forget that first one. ❤
