Immunity to all forms of the coronavirus may be closer than we thought | COVID-19 Special

People who have survived a COVID-19 infection and were later vaccinated seem to be extremely well protected against all the variants of the coronavirus. They have stronger antibodies and more of them compared to people who have only either recovered from or been vaccinated against Covid.

Immunity to all forms of the coronavirust may be closer than we thought. One study in the US found some people have seemingly bullet-proof protection from all variants of COVID-19 circulating at the moment.

But what does it mean to be super-immune? And how widespread could this protection be?

I had the swine flu really bad back in 2011 and I've never been sick since then, with a cold or flu anyways.
I have the immunity of a pig and nothing can stop me.

14 people in the study. It is not reliable at all.

Wouldn't it be more useful to study unvaccinated people who never developed the clinical disease, even after exposure?

I have a relative that’s a virologist he says in every major pandemic/epidemic in history around 20% never get it for unknown reasons (possible immunity) despite being repeatedly exposed.

Adding super on immunity is undermining the immunity itself

SUPER IMMUNITY would provide such superpowers as super physical fitness & the ability to 1/2 wear a mask with your nose sticking out in a bio lab

I think I’m super immune. Been around multiple people who had covid including my family. I’ve tested every time and always negative.

I wish the American media would report this kind of information. Sad that Americans need to look outside our country to find responsible reporting.

Don't worry. If you don't reach the super-immunity stage with your third jab, you can always reach it with your eighth.

Israeli research shows that having gone through covid and having had a natural immune reaction protects 99% against future infections (the immune reaction is complete) mrna vaccines have provide 94%.(this provides a partial immune reaction against very specific parts of the virus which are very likely to change through mutation and become unrecognisable for your immune system)

So as covid mutates, the unvaccinated have nothing to worry about while the vaccinated will need to keep up with the mutations and the vaccines to get close to the same immunity.

Fear is the worst advisor one can employ.

Now think how we have treated the people that chose the natural way, they are the better deal for society at large in the long run.

Rockerfeller university lol cmon really. A study containing 14 people? Advocating booster shots is based on pure hope and no studies with no attention to side effects. Who are these experts DW, embarrassing.

Isn't this how the immunity system normally works? People show this response with Ebola variants. But you can get this immune response just by getting the infection alone. But having a super charged response system only last in fundamentally healthy people.
