How DEADLY Is The BITE Of The BLACK-TAILED RATTLESNAKE!?

WOW! This is truly one of my favorite animal adventures to date! To get out into nature and encounter so many spectacular snakes was a real dream come true! Despite popular opinion, rattlesnakes aren't always what you might think. This black tail rattlesnake is truly an ambassador for its kind, and concretely shows that there is more to these snakes than what first meets the eye. While yes these are potentially dangerous snakes, they are far from the aggressive heat-seeking missiles many people perpetrate them to be. I may be in the minority but I love running into these iconic vipers and I will never cease in my defense of these fantastic reptiles! Did you know how deadly the bite of the Black-tailed rattlesnake was before this video? Let me know!

Excellent work Jack, black-tails are some of my favorite rattlesnakes and you did a great job of showing why. The montane ones up there are unbelievable. Cool find on the ridge-nose too!

My kids have really been enjoying your videos, cool to see some young nature personalities. I grew up with Steve Irwin and Jack hannah, the new generation needs people like you.

I would almost kill to watch you around farm animals, I would probably laugh myself to death from your joking around and Jack ways 😂😂😂😂😂

Yikes no clue there were so many species of rattlers I’ve never heard off? Super calm and quiet.

Let's get this! Absolutely gorgeous footage as usual! Would be so cool to be able to observe you in person. Ever think about giving tours?

The only black tail I’ve ever seen here in Arizona was the chillest rattlesnake I’ve ever come across. A WORLD of difference from a Mojave or diamondback. He didn’t even act defensively whatsoever, and slowly slithered off the trail as I sat and admired him. Love these guys! ( and all rattlesnakes)

Wow, I'm early as hell in this one. Is this going to be a bite test video? Guess I'm about to find out 🤣

Have plenty of timber rattlesnakes where I live in the mountains of Virginia.
Last thing they want to do is get into a conflict with people....give them some space and they will move away without tying to strike ...

I come across rattlesnakes quite a lot and their venom is absolutely useless if you keep your distance and don’t bother them. 95% of the time they make it well known you are near one.

Good video Jack! Here in the Ouichita Mountains on the border of AR and Ok we often see the Timber Rattlers come down in search of water. It's been a hot qnd dry summer and I need to inform the Grandkids about them.. Is there a time of day that they may become agressive?

Arizona Blacktails are absolutely gorgeous and mostly passive…

The Black Tails I met as a kid would give you ample notice with their rattles but unlike the Westerns are not nervous fidgety snakes that strike out. Pretty placid actually.

Very beautiful and amazing rattler I love rattlesnakes the most among the venomous snakes out there.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention those. Yup, we have those here too in the Southern Okanagan. We have a place called "Rattlesnake Island". Brave..or extremely stupid people go there to sunbathe in the nude. One of the few places you can tan in the raw without getting in trouble....most likely cause the cops are too chicken to go on it. 😂
