THE other disciples seemed clueless about Judas' character although they spent nearly 3 years hanging around with him. Even when - just prior to the "last supper" - Jesus said, "That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.” Jesus gave the morsel to Judas, and the others STILL didn't realize who the betrayer was. Beware who you hang out with.

Judas saw Jesus as a means to an end. Peter saw Jesus as a Savior from his end. Judas saw Jesus as an ATM, Peter saw Jesus as the great I AM. Judas suffered worldly sorrow, Peter suffered godly sorrow. Judas betrayed out of greed and resentment, Peter betrayed out of fear.

My opinion....and GOD being who is, is not limited....but I believe the biggest reason JESUS chose Judas....KNOWING who would betray him was for OUR benefit not everyone who names the name of JESUS CHRIST is truly saved....try each spirit to see what sort it is....Satan himself appears as an angel of light....

Our Lord knew exactly how it would play out, but I can guarantee he prayed his friend would not betray him.
He would have forgiven him had he asked, but he was wracked with despair and ended his own life.
This is why confession was instituted by our Lord, to relive us from the weight of our sins.

In Luke 24:46 jezeus didn't make a mistake, he lied. There are no such verses in the Hebrew scriptures that Luke 24:46 refers to. Same with Matthew 2:23 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Phantom verses that do not exist. Acts 7:14-16 has mistakes/errors that can be proven in Genesis 23 and 46. The tomb of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their wives exists today in Hebron as it says in Genesis 23. Jospeh was buried in Shechem where his tomb is today (modern day nablus). The author of Acts confused the two locations. Infancy narratives from Matthew and Luke contradict each other. Crucifixion narrative of the synoptic gospels contradict John's account. The new testament is a circus of mistakes and errors.
