“Nobody wins. Except Loki, who got a good meal and got to watch Thor fail. Loki had a pretty good day overall.”

Utgard-Loki: "The risk I took was calculated, but man am I bad at math."

I feel like the number one reason Loki goes on adventures with Thor is that he gains an unholy amount of glee watching his nephew-by-blood-oath suffer even the smallest of inconveniences

*Thor on a good day:* "What? An old woman? No. I could never."
*Thor on this particular day:* "YOU WANNA GO WRINKLES? I'll throw down with an 80 year-old! I DON'T GIVE A-"

"Odin didn't raise no quitter, but he *definitely* raised a fool or two."

...That needs to be on merch, Red.

You know, it’s amazing that even after Thor basically turned two mountains into parking lots, Útgard-Loki still had the balls to continue pranking him.

Jormangandr: "Thor, what the hell are you doing? Thor? Thor, stop. Thor, stop trying to lift me, it's not even Ragnarok time yet."

Can we just appreciate the sheer titanium balls of this random mortal kid who raced the personification of thought and managed to loose with some measure of dignity?

Oh, I love this story! It's like one of the earliest trolling stories.
"Odin didn't raise no quitter, but he definitely raised a fool or two." That just sums up so much of Norse mythology.

“So, Thor the Thunderer, Loki the Liesmith, and I guess two kindergartners.” has got to be my favorite part of this entire video.

"Odin didn't raise no quitters but he _did_ raise a couple of fools."

God. Love it.

I love that the vikings have a mythological origin for cats "doing that cat thing where it goes all liquid"

Love how Thor’s single bad weekend nearly destroyed everything in existence.

"Odin didn't raise no quitter but he raised a fool or two" and "OH BALLS I MAY BE IN OVER MY HEAD" are probably the best quotes in this lol

Honestly the best part of the story is this random mortal child just hopping right at the chance to challenge a giant's thanes after a literal god just god demolished moments before, and despite losing, Utgard-Loki is a good sport and compliments his effort.

In the original myth, Elli (old lady) gets Thor only down on one knee, so not exactly an ass whooping and Utgard-Loki was also horrified that Thor nearly managed to conquer death
