I worked with a security officer who had his fraternity's letters branded on him. He had done it about 3 weeks before and the burn still looked fresh and terribly painful. The guy was a beast of a man, but he said that was the worst pain he's ever felt.

3rd degree implies it penetrated thru both upper layers down to the fatty layer.

Which for example is closer to 4th degree which means it went down to the muscle.

This is only 1st n 2nd degree at most.

The "pigment" layer u wanna hit with any brand or tat is only bottom of 1st layer.

i’m 18 and worked in a kitchen in high school, we’d hang the baskets over the fryers and i’d have to reach under them constantly to drop things in the fryer and i’d occasionally get unlucky and catch a huge drop of oil from one of the hanging baskets. worked there two and a half years and i’m still constantly asked by everyone if i put cigarettes out on my own skin and asking if i’m sick with something. 😂 i’ve grown to find humor in it, i don’t care to affiliate with anyone who judges anybody that quickly.

If you guys are going to say he shouldn't have done that then why do you do it to cattle and horses? Quit hot branding animals, freeze branding does the same thing and eliminates the pain so they aren't hurt at all. Stop the abuse already, it's disappointing, this isn't the 1900's and whatsoever.

Actully 2nd degree burn. I grabbed a 2200 degree rod and got 2nd degree. It takes your skin melting off the bone to be 3rd

I got 15 consecutive burns in a design style and honestly was not that bad at all, the healing process was a bitch!! But other than that they came out pretty good im willing to try one more for the freeze method

Anyone else seen the video of the young man getting branded on the chest with a white hot iron that gets held on and pressed hard for for about 5 or 6 seconds, causing a total depth burn through to his internal organs?
I didn't see a follow up but heard he died from internal organ damage/infection of the heart post injury.

The boy doing the branding seemed like a psychopath taking advantage of the situation.
