this reminds me of the days of the draft. The joke was that a young man went in for a physical, and when asked what came next, they told him that he would be sent to boot camp for basic, and then to the next level for more training. As the doctor stamped his papers, the young man said "I don't need any training, just give me a rifle, a knife and plenty of ammo so I can kill, kill, kill. I'm ready to go now."
