Best Place to Buy Precious Metals? Pros & Cons

What is the best place to buy precious metals? I have purchased from all the places I have listed in this video and give you the pros and cons of buying precious metals from each. I stack silver and gold to hedge against our debt-fueled, fiat currency-based economy that I am convinced is in deep trouble. Consider stacking silver and gold yourself to help you build and preserve wealth. And thank you for watching Campbell’s Coins!

If you’re looking to support my channel, consider using one of the Amazon links I have listed below. It costs you NOTHING to use my links and you don’t have to purchase the item in the link. Thank you all!

Personally I’ve had very good experience with SD Bullion. Yes, they do take their time but they do need to protect themselves as well as yours.

The only online purchases I do are reputable dealers. I don’t do these sketchy individuals. And yes, being shipped from China is a bad indicator.

Excellent information. I installed a security camera on my front porch so I know when packages are delivered and I can retrieve them immediately. I find that this helps. Great overview! 👍

I have made many purchases through SD Bullion and BGASC I made the minimum $200 to get free shipping from both just to see how each purchase went before buying anything big..Both use USPS to ship.. Both got my coins to my house..BGASC is typically cheaper ..SD Bullion goes out of their way to make sure each coin is protected ..BGASC threw all the Eagles in one capsule with a piece of foam at the top allowing Eagles to cling together..it didn't hurt any of them but to me that pushed me away from buying any large purchase from them ..I will continue to buy my silver from them as I haven't had any of my coins come damaged .. I made my first gold buffalo purchase through SD Bullion and it was flawless. The only thing that had me stressed was not due to SD Bullion but to the post office..SD Bullion made the high purchase a signature only and the post office forged my signature and put it in my mail box. I was at work and no one at my house but got a notification that I signed for the package..I was nervous the entire way home. I wish these Bullion dealers would allow you to ship UPS they would have never forged my signature ..if they had shipped to the wrong house I would have been in trouble because SD Bullion would have thought I signed for the package.

JM Bullion is my go-to when they have sales. Never any problems.

I'm NOWHERE near as knowledgeable as Mr. Campbell on the topic but for what its worth: I only buy from APMEX and have NEVER had any issues. The high prices and speedy discreet shipping are worth it. In my opinion.

I much prefer to buy from an LCS but, I have two local pawn shops that I have gotten good deals from.

I've never used Instagram. I'd be interested in getting a list of your vetted sellers. How do I reach you? Also, have you ever tried selling on the silver forum?

While not for everyone, and perhaps not in every community, I love buying and selling peer to peer. Meet at the local police station and trade away! Meet some interesting characters for sure. IG has a bunch of characters as well! USPS registered mail DOES cover precious metals and is very reasonable, but regular mail or priority and whatever additional insurance you add on does not. Limit of liability for USPS is $50.00 unless sent registered mail. I've sold a bit on Facebook. No issues so far. Perhaps I've been lucky. Heck, I even recently sold a bit on YouTube. All great transactions! Nice video Campbell!
