Thanks for sharing. I like the cardboard strips technique. I plan to do an arch headboard with segments like your channels. But I suggest using bedrail hardware to make assembly and disassembly more robust.

Beautiful job! Im going to try to do this to my pre-existing headboard.😬 all I have is scissors, spray adhesive in a can and a staple gun. Wish me luck!
