I really want to try to reupholster an old tufted red velvet headboard we’ve got lying around but would I have to buy that whole buttoning machine? The stuffing is fine but I just want it in a different colour.

😂🤣 SO CUTE!!! you yelled at "America" for calling it batting 😂🤣. Well, I'm very sorry to say that "batting" (Dacron or Wadding to the Brits) is actually an AMERICAN invention. If you invent it, you get to name it. American colonists called it "batting" because, after picked cotton was dried by a fire, it was hand carded (rubbed) into little wooden blocks called "batts" ... the squares of cotton that came off the batts, were called BATTING. In the 1700s, after the invention of the cotton engine, and then cotton gin, American colonies started shipping processed "batting" directly to England.

Hi, I want to reupholster my headboard in chesterfield style. I have a leather bed and want to know the easist way of doing the project. I thought use a foam for the new headboard and spray adhesive it to the existing headboard, would that work? I thought if I use a light mdf board it may be too heavy to attach to the exisiting headboard. I want minimal damage to the bed as possible so I can revert back to leather if I choose at a later date. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance,
