I got the iPad mini 6 and it's great. Finally after having the first gen iPad mini since it's release I decided to get a new iPad mini, because Apple finally decided to upgrade the mini in the way that I have always wanted.

Excellent, spot-on, absolutely correct video! If you need a really portable TABLET that is amazing and so light, nothing beats the Mini 6. I’m getting the MacBook Air this week as a work device, and keeping the Mini 6 as my chilling/relaxing device that I can take everywhere.

I went with the iPad Air. I do get a bigger battery on that since I do content creation and filming for work. The main camera is the same on both to be honest. The mini has a flash and the air doesn’t. I have a M1 MacBook Pro for video editing needs so it’s not that big of a deal.

Agree for tablet experience mini best size but expensive for not being pro mini, ideally best would be to have mini ipad for watching reading playing games an macbook air for work productivity

I had the ipad mini 5 for two years and I just upgraded to the mini 6. Not because I needed a new iPad... my mini 5 was pretty much in perfect condition, worked the exact same as when I bought it, battery life is fantastic. I only upgraded to the mini 6 cause of the new modern looking design and the purple color. Lol 😂 now if the mini 6 looked the same as the mini 5 I wouldn't have upgraded at all. Haha

I enjoyed your video and I have been looking for a true tablet experience. I used the iPad mini in the past while I was working (I am retired now), I traded one in (1st gen iPad Mini) and went to the iPad Pro 11” and gave the other (iPad Mini 5) away to my daughter. When Apple revealed the iPad mini 6, I decided to trade in my iPad Pro 11” for the iPad Mini 6, why would I need 2 iPad’s. I have been using the mini 6 for almost 2 weeks now and haven’t looked back. LumaFusion, Procreate and Affinity photo, Sky Safari Pro and SkyPortal (I use these two apps to control my telescope) and moving photos from my DLSR all work well. I have connected the iPad Mini 6 to a small 13” monitor that I use for my Raspberry Pi4 and found I can work well with it using a mouse and keyboard for researching, editing, writing, pretty much anything I could do with my iPad Pro 11”. I do have to say I hope Apple will choose to allow extending the desktop vs mirror, but for now I am considering Shift Screen. All in I all I am getting along fine with the iPad mini 6 and haven’t missed my 2020 iPad Pro 11”.

As much as I love the mini, I’m sticking with my Air 4! While the Mini is able to do tablet stuff better, I love that my Air could be either a tablet (that I use mainly for drawing) or a laptop (for paying bills and doing business stuffs). Part of the appeal of the Air 4 for me is that it is a versatile tool for my needs. The Mini does have its uses, but I do not need it for the things I am doing at this time.

Teren, you’ve made this decision so easy. I subscribed to your simple comparison and you’ve nailed my decision. My first and only iPad is an 9.5” iPad Air and it’s done. For surfing, minor email, watching movies, binging tv and portability, reading the WSJ, Flipboard.... I’ve been lamenting over the iPad Air 11, but like you said, I have a 16” 2020 MacBook Pro, and a MB 2021 13” if I want to relax and chill the Mini 6 seems like the only decision. Appreciate it. #ipadmini6

This helped a lot. I’m doing a lot of illustration for work and in the field I need something light and portable. This really helped me figure out what will work best for me on the go without a lot of lugging around.

Also for a fraction of a second I thought you were Marquez and that threw me through a loop for a second.

I've got the 12.9 m1 iPad pro and love it, , especially for lightroom and lumafusion, , , , but bought the mini as well, could not resist), , but I have a specific use case for it, drone flying! It's gorgeous, , , yes the screen is not bright enough as I'd like, but sufficient, , , I've had the mini 4, 5 and now 6, , , all been good but the mini 6 is just killer, mainly because of the usbC! The mini 6 is what I was hoping the 5 would be when I upgraded from the 3. Not gonna upgrade from my 5 though and probably won’t unless the next mini comes with ProMotion and a brighter screen.
