How To Create a Variation Listing With Drop Down on EBay

This is how you can create a variation listing on eBay by selling multiple items in one listing.

Honestly, I had been wondering how to do this as I have a lot of base cards from different sets I want to just get rid of. This video helped alot and only being 2 minutes long was the cherry on top. Thank you for the quick demonstration and perfect explanation. Got a sub from me!

click the three dots in the top right corner of your listing (screen).
Click "Settings" in the drop down menu.
Switch button on to allow variations.

Did they change this recently? I have "list an item" rather than "create listing" and there is no variation option... do you have to be a Sellers Hub member?

I figured it out. I realized I was using the "quick listing tool" feature for selling. You'll need to click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of your screen & change that to the more advanced selling feature. Then you may need to click up there again, but this time click on "settings" and turn on "variations"

Dang it, it does't show variations. After I choose Continue without matching it goes to new or used and I choose New and then it goes to Add Photos. I scroll past looking for the word variation but I don't see it.

New subscriber, thanks for sharing. I just started down the road of doing these complete your set listings, as in I just spent an hour drafting my first one. Is there a .30 and ~13% fee on every sale of these cheaper cards? Or is it just an initial .30 insertion fee for the entire listing? I can live with the 13%, but the additional .30 seems like it would make it pointless to sell at .99 w/ free shipping, which is where I was planning on pricing many of my modern base vets at. I'm obviously not trying to get rich, just hoping to make at least .20 per base card after all is said and done. What kind of margins can I expect? I appreciate your time.

If you don't see varitions on your page click on the 3 dots on the upper right of your listing page, choose setting then variations.

I can only make 4 variations??? But below that I can make different options so now I’m confused 🤔 is options the same thing bc I’m thinking it’s not.
