If you want to add storage, add storage. Don't replace that 500GB drive - re-installing windows, all of your drivers, apps and data is not an adventure path you want to follow. Search for how to move your default install and data paths to the new drive. For your important images, PhD Theses and such - external HDDs are very cheap right now - backup, backup, backup!

awesome video . i have no suggestions as it's a upgrade i think any more then that would be a rebuild which i have to do with my son's pre built .
