Id say that sandpaper is superior only for darkslides. Foam is better for everything else.

So I'm just getting into finger boarding. And I'm just using a couple tech decks right now. Is it worth it for me to get a decent finger board if I continue with this hobby?

Note: The sand paper grip is a plastic deck Ma king it harder to pop that is prob why it wasn’t as consistent with the sand paper grip

I either like kinda smooth grip tape or super grippy foam.

I’m a beginner and I’m still using sandpapar grip tape it’s hard sometimes but it’s kind of easy

Sandpaper is better but lasts like no time compared, people also do terrible jobs gripping their board so it usually looks bad

I used to grip my tech decks with leftover skateboard grip when I was kid. Terrible idea would not suggest it lol. But this was before foam grip was even an option.

U can tell a difference between them dude but yeah been ripping sand 90s till can't get a good darkslide in with none sand

Your using a pro board with pro truxs and bearing wheels of course it would feel different

Yah if you try doing an Ollie with the bad grip tape then it will scratch you fingers

I love sandpaper grip, foam grip is cool, but what about rubber?

I feel like this isn’t the grip tape so much as the shape of the tech deck brand I can’t do a trick on a tech deck anymore but I’m pretty consistent with my other board
