How to Grow Microgreens: Easy and Delicious | Good Eatings

Hello everyone,
In this video I show you how I grow my microgreens at home using a very simple method and easy to come by tools. Microgreens are perfect for indoor gardening for those of us who live in apartments or can be a fun indoor addition to growing a vegetable garden outdoors. It is also a great way to grow your own greens during the cold seasons when the outdoor garden is resting. Hope you like it!

I would love to see a video on how to grow sprouts. I tried once but they became moldy although I followed all the instructions. I made sure that the container was tilted and didn't have remaining water after watering for the day.

I started this video thinking “wow this looks so beautiful and calming” - by the end I decided it looks so simple and fun that I have to try it! Now I’m rewatching. I was also thinking of starting sprouts as well - I’ve tried lentil sprouts last year but I think I did something wrong? It was so simple to do but they tasted off for some reason. Maybe I waited too long to eat them? Would be great to see your take on it!

Also! I have some simple shower caps I reuse when I travel. I think it would be perfect for this - looks just like your plastic covers!

Excellent video and it is great to grow your own microgreens and grow your own vegetables in your own garden if you have the space. I live in a flat/apartment but do have my allotment/garden which is about 15 minute walk away and have been growing some of my own vegetables. I would definitely recommend indoor gardening and get some houseplants because it will help with your mental health.

oh gosh, you're so brave. I went the lazy route and subscribed to Hamama, here in the U.S.A. I get 3 packs of really easy to grow seeds of my choice. They provide a tray that you put water on the level mark, you place the seeds, which come covered and on some growing medium. I've been doing this for about 6-7 months now and it's amazing. They all sprout and grow even faster than they recommend. For US $17.00 every 5 weeks I'm all set. No soil, no checking everyday and they're delicious! Swear, not sponsored, I wish. T

I love this video Malin, thank you for sharing. Questions; Once you harvest the micro greens, do they keep growing? How long will they continue to grow? What do you do with the soil afterward? I'd love a video explaining that part of it. I would love to do this, but I don't have any window sills or enough light to grow inside or enough direct sunlight on my balcony. The squirrels & birds would eat my greens up. :-D
