I’m actually growing micro greens as we speak: arugula, red romaine, and other leafy greens. Growing on a hemp mat. Can’t wait for the first harvest. It’s also a nice way too pass these long gloomy winter months while planning the next garden season.

I'm fully stocked with seeds and this vid helped to simplify a lot of questions I had about the process; I was stuck at the station with information overload.
Insomuch, I cooked a pan-seared chuck steak with indoor-grown fresh parsley and dill, with a bit of butter last night ; it was amazing by providing a very different, non traditional, flavor to a cheap cut of meat. Salted for an hour, rinsed, patted dry, coated with EVOO, and began searing with butter and herbs to baste in a 12-inch cast pan on the stovetop.
Looking forward to use some flavors of microgreens in the same manner until spring... then it's barbeque/smoking season here in southern VT (Z5a)!
