And why would anyone use windows 11 on a 15 year old CPU? If you don't refresh your PC after 15 years you probably don't even need a computer. Tablet is good enough.

Heads up: You don't need both SSE4.2 and SSE4A instruction sets, having either one of them is fine.

I’m sure the setting is in one of the DLL files where we could just swap which ever file with previous version which didn’t have that and we should be good then !

I got a new PC on January 20 with 16GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 5600 and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. Good thing that my CPU has the SSE4.2 and SSE4A instructions.

I sell budget pc's at very low prices to people who have modern tablets and all, but really just want a desktop to:
1. Use Word and excel where they can sit in a comfortable position at their desk with a nice screen that is not in their face.
2. Play music on the background
3. Use internet occasionly to check something while working in Word or Excel.
4. Do their banking

This is 80% of my consumers.

I dont understand why, apart from security reasons, people are forced to upgrade their 15 year old pc's.

People often come to me because their pc is slow and they often assume it is because it is old. No, it is because microsoft crampts it with nonsense features. I just replace their hdd with a small ssd and some extra RAM in it for a couple of bugs and of they go happy😊. But that will become impossible soon.😢

Intel CPU's prior to 8th gen will not work, even if the CPU has the required instruction set. One of my PC's has a i7 quad core with the required instruction set, but it is a 4th gen CPU and will not run Windows 11.

Say you bought a new PC in 2020/2021, it could have an older CPU. This is because PCs may have sat on the shelf for a while the came shipped wither older CPUs.

Many people have started leaving Microsoft Windows (switching to Linux, MacOS, etc.) due to these issues back to back.

Shoot, as much as I hate Microsoft getting more and more restrictive, sounds like those type of computers really shouldn't be going anywhere past Windows 10 anyway. If you aren't running a intel 12 or above gen CPU that isn't utilizing E cores, Windows 10 is actually still till this day optimal performance/latency wise.

Yes, the TPM 2.0 mandate is being changed, so older systems will need to have those new CPU instructions. If you have those instructions you can get Windows 11 if you want. But my tech guys are saying why you can't bypass the 24H2 requirements. It's because the instructions are givien to the CPU processor chip, and you can't bypass the hardware chip instructions. Microsoft has waned that in the past, if you bypass the requirements that your system is not an authorized version of Windows 11 and that updates could stop at any time. Most people don't want Windows 11 by a ratio of about 70% who don't and want to keep Windows 10, to 30% who do want Windows 11. The best way to get Windows 11 without hassles if you want it is to do one of the following:

1.) Purchase a new PC. It will come with Windows 11.
2.) Wait for the 24H2 Windows 11 update, for a long time to see how older systems react to Windows 11. (At least six months up to a year.)
3.) Have the exisitng requirements for Windows 11 on a new PC and get it through Windows Update. Windows Update will let you know when your computer is ready for Windows 11.

Don't use the bypass methods because you won't be officially supported on Windows 11 if you do that.

I think windows 10 is good and very easy to use than windows 11 many settings in win 11 is made too complicated and some are removed too

This shit was introduced to cpus over 10 years ago, and tpm 2.0 was introduced 8 years ago. It’s not even really a big update and you shouldn’t be panicking.
