How to Add More Sections to Your Shopify Theme (no code)

If you want to expand your theme with a few more sections, you have a few options.

The traditional option is of course to use apps for every section that you need, but this isn't ideal. You can also hire a developer, which can be expensive but will give you a high-quality result.

With the release of Shopify 2.0 and sections everywhere, it's become easier to add new sections to your theme. So a market is slowly growing around this with developers offering individual Shopify sections for sale at an affordable price.

Page builders like Shogun and Pagefly are another option, allowing you to create your own custom sections without knowing how to code, but they may slow down your store's loading speed.

Alternatively, Design Packs offer pre-designed sections that can be easily added to your theme, with less of a speed impact than page builder apps, and regular updates.

Hi Ed! There are several videos out there for setting up VScode & Prettier but none of them are very recent to include use of the official Shopify plugin and the evolution of the panoply/liquify plugin.

It would be most awesome if you could do a video walking through the proper setup of VScode for working specifically with Shopify themes including the use of the Shopify plugin for theme-check and proper configuration of Prettier as formatter for .html.liquid files. I've run into some issues with having to choose either html OR liquid as the language for highlighting and formatting and I'm sure there's a correct way to do it for these hybrid Shopify files.

Hello, your videos are very helpful when trying to code into shopify. Due to shopify having limited variants, can you make a video on how to add more without apps. I have a personalised shop so have lots of fonts, colours etc to choose from would be awesome to be able to add these into my website 😊
