Thank you soo much. Literally happened to me with swimsuit bottoms in self checkout. FOR THOSE LIKE ME WHO DONT HAVE A SCREWDRIVER : use a pair of scissors. If the tip of the scissors doesn’t work keep moving it upwards to a bigger portion of the scissors! Don’t give up it’s worth it lol

You just saved me life! Thank you! I also went to target and used the self check out. The alarm went off but there were no workers around to check my bags and I still waited to see if someone would come and look. No one came. Waited like 5 min and I left. Came home, a week later I looked inside my target bag and there sure enough there was a red tag on a swimsuit I bought.

THANK YOU. Ended up starting it with a screwdriver then finishing with closed scissors and this wedging method worked great. Very slight damage on first attempt but the second one was smooth.

Yes, same issue as others with the self checkout. It should flag an employee, like when you buy booze, so they can come help you.

Thank you so much, it really worked! I went to Target today and bought a joggers pants. I did notice the security tag when I placed it my basket, but when I got to the self-checkout, I had forgotten all about it; otherwise, I would have asked the employee to take it off. I'm surprised the security tag didn't go off when I walked out the door.

Thanks! Great video. There is a psychological element to those red security tags. Oh no, what will happen if I cram a screw driver into that tag? Nothing! The things don't even alarm when you accidently walk out the door with one on a garment you bought.
