Today I’ve got a  tip that will help prolong your ammunition’s life, make it easier to organize when storing, and virtually weather proof it while out hunting. What is the tip? Vacuum sealing it.

A vacuum sealer food saver has so many uses, I’ll go over all the different way I use them in other videos but for now let me show you how I use it to prolong my ammo life.

This is a system that allows you to easily figure out just how many rounds you have left since you know the denomination of each bag. By vacuuming all the air out. moister -ammunition’s enemy- is held at bay, and when you take it out in the field it is protected until u decide to use it

This cheap and easy, way to organize and protect your ammo for that all important hunt. If you would like to see what I use or support the channel check the links in the description on the different items used in this video

My hope is that my continual painstaking practice of changing, fixing and improving on ideas ...will help you out during any of your own endeavors.

Thanks for watching and remember to like and subscribe. Comments are always welcomed.

Something I do when I vacuum seal my ammo, cut a small triangle at one end of the bag (on the edge where the flap is thicker) to make it tearable without the need for scissors.

Thanks for the link, sounds like a plan! Also a funny story you may appreciate. My wife and I each have our OCD quirks; one day while she was at a therapy appointment, her Therapist caught me in the waiting room straightening out her paintings! BUSTED!!
Great verse. Faith in Jesus and devoted Christian living has made the most overall improvement in both our lives. Not to completely disregard other interventions, just something about following God's plan has a built-in recipe for happiness.

At my old company, we used to store brass terminals in plastic bags. However, after storing them for long period of time, we noticed we had tolerance problems with the brass. After checking them, we noticed bits of micro plastic sticking to the brass. We then stored them in glass jars.

The scissors in every can are a great idea even though forgetting your knife is the 8th Deadly Sin!

Another benefit to this is that it gets rid of any rattle from ammo loving around in your pack.

Vacuum sealers are cool rigs. Ammo, spices/herbs, apples for freezing, beef jerky, storing meat & veggies. Lots of stuff.

Just another thought, if you're the type to worry about a societal collapse then having ammo portioned like this could be good for trading as it would likely become a commodity item used as money.

Also they make larger Food Saver machines and if want to cut down on time you could make bags ther length of your ammo can and stack them.

With hunting ammunition still hard to get we should all be storing it for the long term. I never thought of vacuum sealing ammunition. Thanks.

cabela's vacuum 8' bags work best. pack the ammo in their boxes, 30.06 single box, .223 in twos or threes, 9 single. air remover pack, then a second layer with another oxygen remover. you can store firearms too, triple bag them, don't over don't make them too tight, make them snug. may God bless you, never loose heart.

Been doing this for a while, makes stocking you go bags easier to.When I seal rifle cartridges I put them in way then put a row in between facing the other way, no more sharp point sticking through the bags

For $7-8 a pack of 100 - you can toss in a 2 or 5 gram desiccant tab in with your cartridges - depending on caliber/quantity - and double down on dry. Those bags Knick real easy. Especially if it’s a spitzer round. My basement leans a bit damp so every little precaution helps

Two seals help keep the seal longer on the bags
