Where I am from we use brown sugar in daily foods, juices and teas and hence it is stored as you would atote rice or flour-in a jar

I do: roll bag airtight as possible. Place in another slightly larger bag. Place a small moistened sponge in the outer bag. Careful! Not too moist! Ceramic savers are nice but not very effective in every situation. Got mine from Publisher's Clearinghouse.

You can also keep it in the bag and then put it in the resealable bag

my grandmother and great aunt would put an orange peel in the brown sugar as well

I keep mine in the original bag, roll it closed and then put that in a resealable bag.

Where did you get the terracotta disk? I was gifted one that was apart of a container but it broke.

How long does the Terra Cotta disc keep the sugar fresh? Is it long term
(1 yr)?

Good video. Putting Sugar in a Pantry Just seems problematic to me. Attracts ants etc.
Refrigerators are not humid by the way - put a piece of bread in a refrigerator & see it get dehydrated over night.
The first step in refrigeration / Cooling is De-Humidification.
A Pantry / Home can be a lot more moist depending on Location. i Live beside the Pacific ocean. Humidity is High around here. if You Live in A desert then yea, low humidity.
i'm Thinking a Container 🫙 with a Seal under the lid on counter top is best bet with a desiccant pack in it.
or a even better a container that has a push button pump to remove air on it.

Or just get some molasses and make brown sugar when you need it.

I'll just stick with white sugar. It's cheaper and you don't need to do any maintenance.
