How to record Mac screen with sound

To record the screen of your mac with sound, all you need is quick time. Press command+space and type QuickTime, or access QuickTime from Launchpad.

Go to File - New Screen Recording. Open the drop down menu and select the microphone you want to record with. Press Record. Click on the screen to start the recording or drag to make a selection.

When done, press the record button on the menu bar to stop the recording. Now you can view your recording. To save, open the File menu and press save. Choose the location and press save one more time.

I can record the screen, but I wish to record to audio at the same time. Let's say I record this YT tutorial, but all I get is the video, no sound.

This doesn't actually record an application's sound directly, but the output to speakers back to a microphone, which is less than ideal audio.

Didn't work for me, I have an iMac and always can record the screen but without sound, try to do what you said but doesn't work I still have a mute movie.

This is good video and method if you want to do screen recording once a month. If you want to do it on daily basis, it would load the resources of your Mac device so it is much better to use external software to do the recording. There are many that you can try for a month or so.

How come my MacBook Pro does not have an internal microphone I can only record the speakers with the external microphone and it sucks. How do I get an internal microphone?
