I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Git, is in fact, GNU/Git, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Git. Git is not an versioning system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Git, ” and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Git, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.

Git is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an version system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Git is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Git added, or GNU/Git. All the so-called “Git” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Git.

Torvalds sarcastically quipped about the name git (which means "unpleasant person" in British English slang): "I'm an egotistical bastard, and I name all my projects after myself. First 'Linux', now 'git'."[25][26] The man page describes Git as "the stupid content tracker".[27] The read-me file of the source code elaborates further:[28]

git branches should be divided by language. master(main) was never a thing, it actually supposed to be cpp, haskell, cobol, so you can develop your microservice in every language. that's written in clean git book

Don't forget to ` git add -u && git commit -m "minor update" && git push ` every time you hit "Ctrl+s" or ":w"
