Ixidor is my favorite character ever since I read the Onsalught block novels.

Onslaught block was one of my favorites that I read when I was younger. I miss when fat packs came with books.

I can't give a good reason, but Ixidor is, far and away, one of my favorite MtG characters. He's Blue. He's a Wizard. He's bafflingly powerful. His stars allow him to stand against a fair bit, and he's cool. I know Sorin will get the bigger love foe using his Oldwalker powers to create Avacyn, who is often seen as a superior creature to Akroma across the board, but I really like Ixidor and Akroma, and Phage. He can effectively make anything, and dies some cool stuff with it. He's related to a fair number of cards, and I enjoy the connections, even if there isn't always synergy between them. While I wouldn't want him as my Commander in my Morph deck, because mono-color EDH isn't my bag, and Kadina is simply better, I was really happy when I could add Ixidor to that deck, and relive some of the glory days when he led such decks, instead. He's also an example of a card I'd love to see another of. I think he's great, all in all, but I'd like other stuff. For a while, I dreamed about making a Blue EDH deck with him and Scroll of Fate. While I get that Manifest is sort of Ugin's thing, I feel it can really play up to Ixidor's reality-warping power, as well as cheat out some powerful crap early, even if they aren't Morphs. I decided it was too much work to dig up one copy of a card, and then protect it, to make the effect work, but still liked it. I'd love another Ixidor that could Manifest the top card off of your deck, and the flip it cheap. The other thing I think of with him is how much I hate when color identity spoils things. I'd love to see him and Akroma together in a deck, seeing as he made her, and when they eventually even printed a version of her with Partner, I would've paid real money for a version of Ixidor with Partner, or a way to give it to him. I know it's a friendly format, and I could just ask for permission; it's not really broken in any way, bur I still wish; some 3/4 Legendary Human Wizard with Partner, "T : Manifest a card from your hand.", and "2U: Turn target face-down creature face up." would be literally awesome, at least to me.

I knew about red akroma, angel of fury, but not a black ixidor...

Ixidor, as a character, is one of my MtG favorites; I just wish they had made a second with Partner to go with the Akroma that has it. His ridiculous power, and the number of cards he's related to is great; he's also a Blue Wizard, which I usually love.

The sad truth of all events that happen or happened or will ever happen on Dominiaria will always find it's roots back to 2 names.

Urza & Yawgmoth.

The effect these 2 beings had have scared and shaped the Multiverse and The Blind Eternites.

Some say The Thran and they are also correct. * They returned Yawgmoth from Exile to heal in essence the being who would later become Urza.*

Urza if I remember right was basically just a vessel for the soul and spark of the greatest Thran scientist ever. Who sealed his essence in the powerstone that closed the Phyrexian Portal. But was later released to due to Urza and Mishra finding said stone and it breaking into the Might and Meekstone.
Which later replaced Urza's eyes after he used the Cyliex against a Phyrexianized Mishra and his forces, Thus almost destroying the Plane.
