Milwaukee really made something awesome here

I got to see this new Milwaukee Tool for the first time at the 2024 Milwaukee Pipeline Event. This is the all new 3: Milwaukee M12 orbital detail sander. It's for smaller woodworking jobs, and it could really come in handy for painters, installers, handymen and all other types of work.

The additional pad on the grinding sole was not put as a "spare", but to protect the main sole when you use a mesh abrasive. That is, it had to be installed BEFORE installing the abrasive. This serves to protect the antennae of the main sole, since they often fall through the mesh and are damaged by the grinding surface.

Now that's a super cool and awesome, small Orbital-Sander!
Well done!

The belt clip is a complete game changer when it comes to high noon sanding showdowns in the middle of Main St. 😆

Go Clint!
Real Nace-Like!😮
I love M12,
I now carry only M12 tools in a Packet Toolbar as my go to.

M18 stays home unless absolutely necessary 💯😊

I've been using this with the thick pad and connected to a Ridgid vacuum with cyclone filter for a month doing detail trim work at a rental property. 3M sanding discs work great, and dust extraction is at least 97%! I just wish the little 'home plate" detail sander had dust extraction too, it would be a perfect combination for prepping trim work for paint!

I do a ton of prep sanding for painting and many times we use a 3" metabo sander. It's nice for sanding overhead, but sucks when I have to drag an extension cord up the ladder to the roofline trim with it. This might be a good alternative, especially at 2 lbs! I might even say.. it's reeeal naaiyce like!

Just grateful this isn't another RYE-OBI (not Ree-obi) video review. Thanks Clint!

Very nice tool. I seen Ryobi just come out with a hp sander like that. Like the light. Just like how compact it is. Thank you for the review. Vrey nice like!

Very cool! They’ve definitely had Festool in their crosshairs the past few years. This is like a rotex 90, but without the tex mode. So I shall call it the m12 ro 90. 😂 awesome video as always sir.

When I was building custom wood windows we had pneumatic variable speed orbital sanders and they were great and pa-er change was a dream. But I don’t have a compressor lol.

Bro I love your channel. As I started to watch this video I looked down and I am wearing the same shirt with the same stain in the exact same location. LOL! Keep up the great work brother!

Veery nice. Festool has really dropped the ball on their cordless platform. That sander is perfect for trim guys and finish guys. I can definitely see a use for that when doing things like base, casing, and crown to flush up the corners and edges after install. The only thing missing is the ability to switch to a delta pad (triangle) for getting into tight corners with one single tool. If they had that, it would be a golden tool.

Seems like it works great. 3" should be plenty for finish sanding. And you looked super bad ass with that belt clip. 😂
