The dude remembering his dad’s medal was sentimental after he was told it was worth 40 dollars was hilarious 🤣

My dad got this from the Vatican!
It’s also a commemoration to his life’s work. …
I’m here to Pawn it. Lmao 🤣

"I'm taking the $500 because I don't want to carry the comic books out" LOL

Grandpa: I'm gonna keep the comics for 1000s of years so my children would know the cool stuff.
Grandchild : Wow, I'm gonna sell it to go on a vacation

The Sword Pistol is so freaking cool. It's probably worth more today anyway, I love seeing the seller keep it for more.

I think Chum Lee was totally right about putting the comics out with a $1 a piece sticker. Lots of people go to the store to see the cool stuff, but tourists obviously don't have 30k to drop on a Beatles guitar or something. So, they can easily get a neat old comic for $1.

How chumlee handled the pope coin in this is what makes pawn stars absolutely amazing. That’s authentic and beautiful. Love that

He literally told her that Dr. Strange could be "worth a few hundred bucks on it's own" and yet she still took $500 for the lot!

For reference, "Hirsch" is a deer or stag in German. The term translates directly as "deer catcher, " but they're used to hunt deer and boars (Wildschwein).

$35k initial offer for something valued at 75k? 🤔 I love when people stand firm and are willing to walk away on what they consider low ball offers.

The disappointment on Rick's face was priceless. And Chumlee just walk out like "Whatever". 🤣
This show is so entertaining.

I like Chumley's deal with the comic books and his attitude, great guy.

It always brings me joy to see people stand firm and reject Rick's crazy lowball offers.

Moral of the story: If you take something to a pawn shop with plans to sell it - be prepared to get 50% of what it's worth.

“This is my uncle’s comic book collection, it was handed down to me.
My brother got the other half.
I hope to sell it at a pawn shop and take my kids on a vacation”

I sure hope her brother got all the best comics!!!

I think Chuck had quite a lot of tact in handling the potential purchase. Quite respectful & placed the sentiment onto the item instead of a price. 👍👌

I can’t imagine trying to make a quick buck out of something your family valued for decades. Beyond me!

I’d love to see a follow up episode for what items actually sold for in the pawnshop, and also follow up with customers that couldn’t make a deal and whether they’ve since sold the item.
