OET Speaking Role Play Sample Video for Nurses demonstrates OET speaking role play on discussing care for a spouse with stroke. The setting of this OET speaking role play is a patient’s home (Home visit). A patient has been suffering from a stroke. The nurse is visiting the patient and talks to the spouse about the patient’s condition. The carer is explaining how the spouse was managing. Recently the spouse has returned to work. The nurse explains that the patient requires round-the-clock attention and is outlining the possible ways for the care. The nurse says shifting to a nursing home, arranging full-time nursing assistance, or else quitting the job. The spouse says quitting the job is not possible in the present condition. And not in a position to get a full-time nursing assistant as well. Then the nurse says shifting to a nursing home is the best possible way. The carer however doesn’t know how to choose the best nursing home for the spouse. The nurse then explains the factors to check while selecting the nursing home.
