Thx dude, your videos are educational and entertaining. I have driven for Uber and Lyft in FL & NC during personal financial emergencies and you're 100% correct, these gig companies are all taking advantage of the working poor. Amazing how many influencers are online preaching BS! Thanks and Go Birds!

Good for you! This is something everyone should know. Big businesses will glad take advantage of anyone they can.

There are so many line items ppl don't even consider when driving. I'm so glad you are on it and also know math😁 It is so important to know all the areas where you can make or lose money in this business. Especially where you are driving. In Alexandria and DC you can make tons(Although the cab companies are pushing back still). But come about 60 minutes south and the houses and businesses are so far apart that everyone has to have cars just to live and won't need your Uber most likely. Although a LOT of rich ppl here call all their groceries and food in from Uber eats. It's crazy. At holidays especially the streets are packed with delivered food.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown bro. As far as I know, all the gig apps are becoming like this. Less and less money to you slowly over time. The fact they have enough money to rope you in with bonuses means, they CAN pay you more. Its not corporate greed as it appears on the outside, its control bro. They're all doing it thats how u know.

I just started driving in New Jersey & got a Hertz vehicle;

I attempt to hit a quota of $375 a day that way I can pay for the rental & have extra money for the week.

If you get an Electric car they give you 45% off for charging;

During that time I usually use the bathroom, load up on snacks, go inside the mall or school work during the time of charging from E it takes about an hour & a half.

I feel like if you are driving Uber you should make sure to track your miles and anything that you are using to make your business run.

You should get an LLC or sole proprietor.

That way you can start to get tax deductions from

Gas
Miles
Clothes.
Food
Logging

Just to name a few.

Always keep all your receipts for taxes at the end of the year and finding a way to digitalize the process.

Are there any tips on how to make more money from driving such as

Creating a YouTube channel about it or something that can make your Cab different and more expensive?

What a awesome thing Eddie that you are sharing so that other Uber and Lyft drivers are really taking into consideration what the bottom line truly is.
Thanks for the mini class in economics.👍❤️

Eddie I've been driving since 2016 and I'm leaving now as soon as I can find a professional job. It makes me so sad.

Lyft is by far my favorite to drive for. Everytime i go out its ride after ride after ride i always make money. The rides are fairly short and it keeps me in the area i want. The bonuses are pretty good. I have a great crossover suv great gas mileage.

Looks like Saturday night 9pm to midnight is the best time to drive.

It really is crazy how much they’re ripping us off lately. My hourly net income can vary anywhere between $5 and $100 out here in the Denver market. I’ve had to get so creative just to make ends meet. Uber is less than half of my income now, most of my earnings are private clients paying cash to get to the airport or a show/event, and my YouTube earnings from vlogging my rides. Uber needs to up our pay soon or we’re all gonna start getting creative 😂

Which is why the only sensible thing to work is to work in a large market and cherry pick your rides making at least $1.5/ 1 mile. Like my last trip was 1.9 miles overall and made $17 because I was in a $12 surge as well.

The charge time is a good insight. I wonder how many other EV Uber drivers consider charge time when they're calculating their hourly earnings?

I've been telling people forever that Lyft is not worth driving UNLESS there are incentives that make it worth the time. And like you, I only get an incentive worth doing once every few months

So new driver here about a 1 month I am doing 55 to 60 hours work week in Boston gas car rental from hertz I do 1800 a week - gas and rental 1200 of net so I don’t have to deal with maintenance I habit had a problem, thankfully but I guess if you do it would probably take a day to get a replacement car and dealing with Hertz in Boston I make 1800 every week unless I miss a day which hasn’t happened yet, but I know it could happen

7:30 - Isn't the mileage deduction the same as the Tesla rental was? Now imagine if you did double the hours... The Tesla cost no more, but the mileage deduction would be double. If you can charge your Tesla for next to free without using time (both can be done in many situations) - That makes a lot of sense imo.

Well done with breaking this all down. Fairly new driver here. How does one drive out of the licensed registered state?
