Last summer, I did a road trip from Iowa all the way to Nova Scotia. Best trip ever. Nova Scotia is definitely beautiful. I could not get enough of that place.

I wish you included Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut in this video. They're Territories, but they're an important part of Canada!

I am an immigrant who lives in Calgary, Alberta, and couldn’t speak any higher about my province’s cost of living and beautiful mountains that offer a lot of recreational activities. Lots of cultural diversity across the province, and very kind folk.

I've been to Alberta. Edmonton is a great city. I'll never forget going there.

I’ve been to Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. My uncle and I drove across the United States from the Olympic Peninsula to Cape Cod and then drove through Canada to get back home to Washington state. It was one of the best summers I’ve ever had. I was just 15 years old and was on my first long term trip without parental supervision! To say that my uncle corrupted me wouldn’t be accurate. But I would say he treated me like a younger, fun little brother who needed a chance to live a little. Thanks Uncle Glenn. You taught me how to drive on the Bonneville Salt Flats, drink beer at the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado. You gave me enough slack to do the things a teenage boy does, flirt with girls from everywhere we stopped. And you took me to some cool educational places also! Our stops in Canada were amazing, I still remember that night in Revelstoke, British Columbia and that gorgeous girl who spent the whole day and most of the night teaching me how to French kiss! Thanks for being such a stand up wingman, staying at the tavern and being cool while I was learning about girls, and where second base was! Yes, I learned some very important lessons that summer! Oh 🇨🇦

British Columbia is the most beautiful place in Canada by far I've been everywhere across this great country and British Columbia holds a special place in my heart Just rugged beauty.

If money is no object then BC is definitely number one. It's expensive because most of the rest of Canada, as well as newcomers to the country, want to live here...beautiful and varied scenery, milder winters compared to the rest of the country, minimal bugs in the summer in most parts of the province, clean air, abundant water, strong economy, etc. I'm also surprised at Ontario and Quebec being last, kind of a weird list TBH.

My father was in ship building when we lived in New Brunswick. I was a little girl, but I remember visiting the Bay of Fundy, where the tides are very extreme. It was cool. Thanks for the list!

Born and raised in BC and lived my adult life in Ontario. These rankings are nothing short of bizarre. Typically you will have Ontario and BC as the top two with Alberta third. Quebec is often in the middle of the pack with the Prairies and Maritimes pulling up the rear. New Brunswick is usually last. As with anything I guess what matters are the metrics one uses. But this ranking is far more realistic than the ones presented.

Labrador has been part of Newfoundland since 1809 and joined confederation in 1949, NOT 2001.

Fun fact: citizens from Halifax are Haligonians.

Hi Briggs! I'm a long time viewer and a teacher living in the SF Bay area. I would love to see you do a video on the best and worst cities for teachers. For all it says about our education system, I think it would be interesting to educators and the general public alike. Keep up the awesome videos! I watch you religiously in the 20 minutes before I fall asleep. Your videos are the perfect thing to wind down to after a long day.

The houses around the harbour in St. John's, NL were painted different bright colours so the fishermen could pick out their house as they were returning from the fishing grounds. They would look for a candle was in the window to know if their family was home. It was more common with the townhouses that are hard to distinguish from a distance, but recent years has spread to detached homes, because pictures. A couple of communities around the province also do this, but AFAIK it was originally only the townhouses in St. John's with the bright colours.

Been waiting to see this video :) I had hoped to hear about each province besides the 1-2 big cities, but the ranking is remarkably accurate. Been to every province, 2/3 territories, driven coast to coast more than 2 dozen times, and lived in the top 4. The larger towns in each province provide a better representation of the cultural differences in each, and omitting this was a missed opportunity, still a great job as always!

I've been only to BC and Alberta. Both have such spectacular scenery and lovely people...at least when I've been. Skiing for a week at Whistler-Blackcomb was a mind-altering experience. The Canadian Rockies are mind-blowing. Once took a drive up Vancouver Island and onto a ride up the Inside Passage...the scenery was so gorgeous it nearly brought me to tears. If I could afford it, I'd move to Canada in a heartbeat!

I live on Vancouver Island, many visitors to the island think that BC means “bring cash”….it’s very expensive for almost everything. We pay the “scenery and weather” tax in spades

I love this ranking. It was done by Canadiens for us....LOVE that the Big smoke is not in the top or even close. Que is lower end too, I've always thought so too...soooo many reasons why. BC was spot on for the assessment and the prairies and maritime provinces sounded good too. Nice review and its about time the "centre" (supposed) of the Universe got shook a little.

I enjoyed watching your You - Tube video. It would be nice to see a follow up video describing and rating the 3 remaining territories.

I’m American and I love ❤️ Canada 🇨🇦 . I want to travel more around Canada 🍁 and experience more of the vast natural beauty and capture some of it with my own camera instead of only enjoying other people’s photos. All of my interactions with Canadians have been good, too. I have always experienced kindness, generosity, and a fun sense of humor from Canadians. I now have relatives living in Toronto so plenty of reasons to visit there. I want to experience the vastness and beauty of the northern territories also. Getting back into sport fishing would be great and I want to enjoy it with nephews and nieces who don’t yet know the excitement of a tug on the line 😊

I was born in toronto. I love it here. If I didn't have my family here, I would move to either.

1. Squamish, British Columbia
2. Canmore, Alberta
3. Halifax, Nova Scotia.

I love what toronto has to offer and love going north to the Muskokas and Parry sound.

I travel to squamish every two months for at least three days and love it there. It is easily the most beautiful town in the country.

I lived in both BC and Ontario, having lived in BC first. Life in BC is amazing if you are a nature lover. Downtown is very friendly for walking and bike riding as the area is a peninsula with trails all around its perimeters with the huge Stanley Park on the tip right next to the heart of the city. Right across the bay in North Vancouver you can go skiing/snowboarding by public buses which is an amazing thing for teenagers who can't afford a car. Public transportation is affordable, safe and reliable. Recently Vancouver had been facing some extreme weather conditions but normally it's warm during the winter and cool during the summer. I didn't even have AC at home when I lived there and we had no problem with living. However, as a teenager at the time, I really hated the fact that you need to go through two provincial exams crucial for college. As an automobile enthusiast, let's be honest Vancouver does not have much expressways and even if they do, the speed limit is way too low. This is what comes at exchange for good public transportation so I won't really complain about it.

After moving to Ontario the public transportation was way more expensive but in much poor quality than compared to BC. The streets were filthy in Toronto, cost of living was way more expensive(at least during my times. I heard BC is no longer affordable in terms of costs), harsh winter made living not fun at all. Luckily I didn't live in Toronto but in a small suburban city so traffic wasn't a problem of mine. There is no ski resort in close proximity, no mountains to begin with and the freshwater beaches were hours away from where I lived but having lived longer there, I miss Ontario more than I do with BC. With the natural beauties all far away, I might have enjoyed mingling with people more than I did in BC. Oh, and again, as an automobile enthusiast, living close to Detroit and having more road network gave me better memories related to the things I love.
