"As if we needed another reason to think Jennifer Lawrence is oh-so-very awesome, the down-to-earth Oscar winner has admitted that her recent Dior ads were Photoshopped. And she did it on national TV."*

Jennifer Lawrence is quickly becoming America's sweetheart for being relatable, down-to-earth, and honest. She's replaced Anne Hathaway', who ironically, is becoming hated. Why? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian discuss why.

"She's too perfect...so we must destroy her"  I dont understand why Jennifer Lawrence is so overrated anyway, must be her looks because it cant be her acting (and I MEAN it, I know she won an oscar and all).

Anne has been one of my favourite actresses since I was eight. It makes me sad to see her get so much undeserved hate.

she didn't ruin Dark Knight Rises - the plot did that on its own

Anne Hathaway is intelligent and knows what she's talking about. She had wonderful commentary on the whole up skirt incident. She has a brain. That's why people hate her. It's like, "OMG! HOW CAN YOU BE BEAUTIFUL AND SMART AT THE SAME TIME! EW!"

Anne's been hated just because her acceptance speeches seem a bit rehearsed. But she was worthy of the award she did a fantastic job, and so did Jennifer Lawrence. Why do we have to hate one and love the other? We're always pitting one actress against another like there's some sort of rivalry. You never see people do this with male actors. Anne Hathaway is an actress, all actors are over dramatic. No need to hate her for it. I like both actresses, and there's plenty of room for both of them.

Jenny Lawrence is just too adorable, she's just super lovable. While Ann is just Hollywood classic beauty. Nothing is right or wrong with either woman. We just love that fresh new face.

Yea, some people just love to hate on others, jealousy. Both Jennifer and Anne, are very talented actors. Why can't we just be happy for them both, that they are Oscar winners??

Considering Anne just won and Oscar amongst other awards I find it hard to believe she's hated. However, people praise Jennifer Lawrence's stupidity and act like she's being honest. In a year people will find more

ruined? she was one of the best things about that movie. particularly, because anne and the writers perfectly captured the character. she had a lot to do with the plot.

Not very related, but I watched Les Miserables a couple of days ago, and my god, Anne Hathaway was just amazing in it. The scene where she sang I dreamed a deam was just out of this world. And here I thought I would never like a musical.

and her Oscar Speech was great too : "Here's hoping that some day in the not so distant future the misfortunes of Fantine will only be found in stories, and nevermore in real life. Thank you."

I kind a liked both of them!! But all this overrated applause towards Jennifer Lawrence and undeserving hate towards Hathaway made me really love Hathaway and reject JLaw. And I appreciate how Hathaway always appears happy and keeps smiling every single time I see her even after all this. You want another reason? Jennifer Lawrence definitely couldn't have done what Hathaway did in Les Mis in just 15 mins or may be less than that.

I've never seen a single Jennifer Lawrence movie, but from the clips I've seen of her, she really seems down to earth. Finally, a genuine positive role model for young women can look up to.

Duh. I have worked in the magazine industry for over 15 years. If anyone is wondering, all photos of this nature are touched up with Photoshop. It's not a case of 'sometimes they are and sometimes they aren't.'

I love Anne Hathaway... As an actor and performer. Her Fantine was amazing, she brought a fragility and raw performance that gives me chills just remembering it.

In saying that, Jennifer Lawrence hasn't been in a hell of a lot yet. Her career has gotten off to a good start and I hope she stays the course.

I'm not the one who fails to understand the difference. If beauty were truly subjective then any random person pulled off the street would be considered beautiful by half of us and ugly by the other half. And no matter who or how many random people you select, it will always be 50/50. That's what 100% subjectivity means. What YOU'RE talking about is preference, which is NOT the same thing as subjectivity. A preference can be both objective AND subjective, tied to a standard yet debatable.

She was amazing, I was neutral on her before that performance, thought she was average. That performance was just amazing though, and I didn't even like musicals before watching that movie, and I loved it.

She sets a PERFECT example for yound girls. As she is real. She doesn't need to diet. She is perfect. She is Insecure about her looks and probably was being her usa sarcastic self. she is REAL and not stuck up like most actresses and actor and models.

Yeah, I think people are going to start over-analyzing her now, which is too bad because that seems the opposite of her attitude. She seems completely uncontrived and natural, which is what is appealing about her. But now everyone will study her every move and tear her apart. I hope she just stays cool and doesn't start to look ridiculous like all these other women who become major sex icons in Hollywood.

We assign the word beauty to physical things. If there isn't a standard by which we can apply it, then its application just becomes arbitrary. It's like saying justice or goodness is whatever a person thinks it is. If you ask people why they find something beautiful, you'll begin to collect a list of characteristics that will start to have things in common. If 50% of people said a broken nose is beautiful and 50% said it wasn't, then you may have a case. But they don't, and you don't.
