About CO Shield

Champion’s CO Shield® technology monitors carbon monoxide (CO) levels produced by engine exhaust. If unsafe CO levels are detected, it automatically shuts off the generator to protect you from potential harm.

Important Safety Note:

CO Shield is not a substitute for an indoor carbon monoxide alarm. Generators must ALWAYS be used outdoors in well-ventilated areas, with exhaust directed away from people, buildings, and windows. Never use a generator indoors or in confined spaces. Champion generators meet ANSI/PGMA G300-2018 safety standards.
