Food Road Trip in Northern PAKISTAN

I'm en route to Hunza Valley. It'll be a long journey and we're going to get hungry along the way, let's eat! (DAY 1)

My parents immigrated to Canada from Pakistan in the 80s. I was born and raised in Toronto where my mother fed me Pakistani dishes each and every day. I always wondered, how good is the cuisine from Pakistan in comparison to what I grew up eating?

I can't wait to share this trip with ya'll. More episodes of each city will be uploaded soon. Stay tuned.

I'd honestly watch a 10-part series of your trips to Pakistan and all the different kinds of foods, no questions asked.

IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES!! As a white American who grew up in the suburbs and didn’t have much exposure to Asian cuisine (other than a little bit of Korean), I’ve recently become fascinated with other cuisines and I’m excited to learn new things!

I absolutely love this. Pakistan really needs exposure like this. My absolute favorite place to be.

You mentioned Friday prayer. I was always afraid to ask you, but are muslim? I am a muslim too, although I converted after I read the Quran. It truly was the best decision of my life.

Great episode! I can’t wait for future videos in this series. I live in the US but when I went to Pakistan last year (I’m Pakistani btw), it was amazing. It was an entirely different vibe and I think the food is the best thing there. It was the best food/cuisine I’ve had in my life (it was more delicious than what we make at home).

As an Indian, it is my dream to visit the beautiful Hunza Valley and also the birth place of my grandfather - Mardan KPK. My father wishes to meet his uncles and other family one day. I hope it happens in nearby future.
I've been to Srinagar and this video brings back all those memories. ...Kashmir is beautiful ... ❤❤❤
Great video Golden Gully 💯

Man this vid had me grinning ear to ear. I’m visiting my home country this summer after having not been back for 4 years due to covid and whatnot. So glad you are having tons of fun!

I'm an Indian living in Canada, but after watching this I seriously want to visit Pakistan and experience the hospitality, I would love speaking to the locals and taste the cuisine.

I can’t wait to see the Hunza video, that’s where I’m going on my next trip to Pakistan. I’m a Sikh and mom’s side is from Peshawar before partition. Last year we became the first in the family to visit Pakistan since the 1940s. It was amazing! Everyone was so incredibly nice to us and treated us like family. We’re vegetarian, which limited our street food options to chaat, so I’ll have to live vicariously through you. Anyway, enjoy the trip, it’s totally worth it!
