Chromebooks aren't gaming computers but that doesn't mean you can't play games. Today I show howto install Minecraft on a Chromebook

For anyone who’s having really low frames when playing Java on Chromebook, turn the render distance down a couple chunks and it should be fine. Turning down the graphics just makes the game look worse and doesn’t help the frame rate much.

My recommendation is to use 6 chunks or 7, fancy graphics, no FPS limit, minimal smooth lighting, and using optifine. I use these settings on a little worse windows laptop with an i7 2640M (ancient cpu) 2 cores four threads, 6 GB 1333mhz ram and Intel hd 3000. The game won’t look too bad or too good, i was able to use some mods like tech guns (basically cool looking 3D functional guns with some new enemies and lots of guns), biomes o plenty, eyemod and mrcrayfish device mod. I get around 30 - 60 FPS with some dips to the 20s. Playing on hypixel without optifine (Minecraft just weirdly crashes every time I join a world or server with optifine) yields me 20 FPS in the crowded lobby and 60 FPS when at my home island. Gameplay is pretty good although my PCs temperature goes so high even when not running anything. Minecraft would be great if Microsoft just used the android version and tweaked the keyboard gameplay to fit the PC style. Hope this helps anyone. I might buy Samsung chrome book 4+ for online school, web browsing and some controller supported games. So Minecraft would be a really fun game whenever I am bored. Everyone will say “why didn’t you get an Acer aspire 5 for 70$ less than that chrome book (acer aspire 3 is 300$ for the 128GB SSD model and the Samsung Chromebook 4+ is 370$” My answer will be the beautiful sleek design. When I open it up I won’t turn it on I will just gaze at it’s looks :/ Thank so much for the video!

Edit: just a suggestion from me can you try CSGO or Paladins, you could try LowSpecGamer’s tweaks if it doesn’t run well, speaking of tweaks, you can see videos from the LowSpecGamer’s to get some tweaks on your favorite games.

The reason he was getting less fps was that he spawned in a jungle, in 1.15, jungles were unoptimized as fk and u usually get way less fps in jungles

Yeah sure, Chromebooks are not gaming machines, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do ANY gaming on them.
These machines are all some people have.
