I just spent 15 minutes building up courage to kill some disgusting black spider in my bathroom so I came here to relate to people in the comments. And I did it 💪, but even after doing it I had to put my hair in a bun because I felt like something was touching me. I hate that most people don't take this fear seriously. So many times I heard.."oh come on, don't be a baby, just kill it". I always come across as a spoiled girl who's overreacting when in reality my heart starts beating so fast and I'm genuinely panicking, I don't know why people think I want to fake it, to pretend to be cute or what? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Once I decided to face my fears and watch a documentary about bugs. We followed the journey of a young praying mantis baby. I got really attached to it and actually found I really liked it. Then the baby praying mantis met an adult version of itself. The documentary made it seem like it was a beautiful moment. There was a long pause, and then the adult praying mantis ate the baby one.

That mother fucking documentary. I have never cried so hard in my entire life

For me I think I have some sort of phobia of bugs? I always freak out and have meltdowns if I see one near me crawling, flying or hear one buzzing past me.
