I've been watching this video off and on for the past few days to get the story refreshed in preparation for TBW; I don't want to rewatch the ENTIRE catalog for the anime, so coming across this is honestly amazing. A LOT of content to go through. Props to making it and condensing it to make it pretty simple to listen along while driving, cleaning, or eating.

I just re-read the manga after not touching it for over a decade. I was pretty shocked of how good it is! I just meant to read a couple chapters but it was so fun and easy to read that I ended up going all the way until they get to soul society!

Altho, you can see pretty hard where Kubo clearly retconned stuff. Like the fact that ichigo's dad clearly wasn't ment to be a shinigami from the beginning, Renji's character and relation to Rukia got retconned pretty hard during the mini-training-arc, and I'm pretty sure the spybug was supposed to be from the gotei 13, not just Aizen. Byakuya even talks about it when he says he recognizes ichigo as the kid who beat the menos grande.
