Old hardware is not e-waste. I just upcycle old hardware. Each time I upgrade something, the thing I replace gets trickled down as an upgrade for another device.

I take old hardware freshen them up and give the computers away to those that can't afford them. To date I've saved and given away nearly 160 computers

A pc doesn't have to run every new game to still bring someone joy, honestly even something that streaight up can't run anything past 2020 has it's uses, after all there are plenty of great old games out there.

If you use upscaling, low resolution, and potato settings games become slightly playable 😊

3rd gen i7 and gtx 900 series at least and it's plenty for 1080p, especially for e-sports games.

X79/2679v2-12 cores slightly overclocked, 32Gb ddr3 2400MHz and Sapphire Nitro 5700XT make 120-130 fps in warzone for me. I'm happy with that...

Hell yeah. Im still rocking an AMD FX8350 with 32GB of Hyper X Fury DDR3 1866mhz ram with an rtx 2060 12gb gpu. Still does great and handles lots of games @ 1080p. Ive even got it running windows 11 pro on an nvme m.2 drive. Some of the ddr3 mobos are actually more expensive than b450 mobos. Crazy how that works.

Old build just gets used to set up new build and then after that goes to backup for when I need to fix something I fucked up normally

Those old pc often have a lot of overclock headroom. While overclocking them isn't going to make them runs as fast as new one, it's sometimes does makes some title more playable
