Join a Teams meeting from the app

1. From you Calendar, select Join on a meeting before it's started, or one that's in-progress.
2. Turn on your camera, select Background filters, and choose how you'd like to appear:
- Select a custom background.
- Select Blur.
3. Choose your audio settings.
4. Select Join now.

Join a Teams meeting on the web
Don't have the Teams app? You can still join a Teams meeting.

1. In your email invite, select Click here to join the meeting.
You can also use a dial-in number and conference ID from the email to call in.
2. You have three choices:
Download the Windows app: Download the Teams desktop app.
Continue on this browser: Join a Teams meeting on the web.
Open your Teams app: If you already have the Teams app, go right to your meeting.
3. Type your name.
4. Choose your audio and video settings.
5. Select Join now.
6. Depending on meeting settings, you'll get in right away, or go to a lobby where someone in the meeting will admit you.

only microsoft will find a to make the most basic function so incredibly counter intuitive. because of couse it makes more sense to join a meeting through you calendar or an email rather than a simply join meeting option in the fricken app itself. MS Teams is immediately getting deleted after being done with this one time interview.

Am I the only one who finds it dumb that if you already have a meeting ID and passcode, there's nowhere to input that in the app itself and join a pre-existing meeting? This is pretty fundamental. I don’t know how this feature was overlooked (to include capability for in-app). Stupid. Another reason for me to hate Microsoft.

It's amazing you provide join ID information with a passcode but there is no option to use the damn thing so whenever you click the link you automatically join in as a guest absolutely incredible even when you have a paid profile account

This video is basically useless for a lot of people. If you’ve also ran into the same problem where you click a link to join a meeting and it gets stuck on “connecting”, I’m sorry to say but there’s really nothing that can be done due to Microsoft’s poor customer service employees communication skills with their own company. This bug has crippled the app and rendered it basically useless for a lot of users. Trying to join a meeting through an external link doesn’t work anymore for some reason. You can’t even connect thought a link in Outlook, one of Microsoft’s own services. The problem is that any customer service agent you speak to about this issue doesn’t give feedback to people higher up in the company fix this.

When followed the link for an interview from the Outlook calendar, there is no option to change the background. Very frustrating!

Today i could't join my interview for your foul teams app. It said to log in again and again but could not get me in. With link it can not open, how funny. You made a huge loss of myself. Skype was the best when i used it 14 years back.

The "team" at TEAMS needs to fix their email invites. They don't specify what timezone the meeting invite is for. MAJOR problem. So the app tries to guess what timezone each person is on, and it taylors it to that person. So invites look different for different timezones. But it guesses WRONG, so you will get a time, but no timezone. This causes major confusion and people showing up and hour early or an hour late for a meeting. So all this talking about TEAMS is really worthless until we solve the problem of knowing what time a meeting actually starts!

I have a work profile on my phone and the email is on my work side. The app is only something I can download on my personal side. Since those sides aren't allowed to communicate I can not join through the email. What in God's name made someone think a meeting ID would be useful without letting us imput it.

Hmm i couldnt sign in ms teams apps on th laptop and when i sign in it says "you cant sign in here with a work or school account use your personal account instead" in fact that is my email address i use to sign up before when i login in ms teams on the laptop help ???
