Toyota Prius hatchback review - CarBuyer

There's still not too many hybrids on the roads, and even less still that are truly efficient. The Prius is the exception with a CO2 emissions figure that's among the lowest on the road. It all means that you don't have to pay any road tax or the London Congestion Charge and you'll find trips to the petrol station become a rare occurrence.

My dad owns one since 2011 and it has over 380k kilometers on it. He never changed anything, only regular oil change and filter change, tires, brakes… never let him down. We’re still keeping it!

I'm 18 and drive a prius. It's really comfortable and I can actually take people in the back, for me It's just brilliant :) love it

I'm turning 16 soon and my dad wanted to get me a car that gets really good gas mileage, is under 18k, and very safe and comfortable. He asked me if i thought i would like a prius and i said yes. We went to go test drive one and it's actually really nice and spacious inside, meanwhile you're getting 50+ mpg. We already have a diesel vw and trust me the prius is a way more comfortable ride. I can't wait to get this as my first car.

After owning a Prius for just over 6 years I have to say when it comes to reliability it’s the best not a single thing ever gone wrong with it not even a bulb yes plastics are a bit rubbish but so lovely to drive get around 45mpg city and the best I got on the motorway is 65 mpg no road tax cheap to insurance

Honestly it is one of the most reliable cars out there, it’s comfy and practical and it has a little bit of power which is not surprising as it is a hybrid

I used to scoff at the Prius. Not anymore. I recently visited Mongolia and it is the no. 1 car. super reliable, and capable on unbelievably bad roads/dirt tracks.

I used to think Prius drivers were just assholes, pretentious upper class pricks trying to go green.
I went to replace my Camry with a new one and the sales rep asked if I'd like to test drive the Prius, I was curious, what makes a Prius driver an asshole, why do they drive like 90 y/o white haired ladies?   So I got in and it fit me like a glove, the console, steering wheel and seat position.  Drove it around, stopped caring about what people thought.  Then realized why Prius drivers were irritating, always be coasting, the more you coast, the more you run on electric. Anyway I bought one, pretty happy with it, I don't feel like sucking a guy's dick, not feeling light on the loafers for buying a Prius, I don't feel entitled, heck most of you here probably make more $ than me, it's just one of those cars that feels enjoyable to drive.  Everyone has their preference.

It depends entirely on what you value in a car. For me, I don't treat my car like an entertainment device. My goal is to get to point A to point B as efficiently as possible. Clearly, though, if you're a car enthusiast then I'm sure the Prius would disappoint.

I'm Prius fan. I love its design and, most importantly, its economics. I sincerely do not care in the slightest about the pollution it makes or doesn't make. I think the blind hatred towards Prius owners has to stop. Not saying you should like the car, just not hate the owner since you have no idea if they care about the planet (such is my case) nor the specifics about the purchase decision nor if they're gay (seriously?!) nor if they like Obama (what the...)

These are some of the most common, yet,  irrelevant connections I could possibly think about.
