The US Navy (US Navy) will soon operate the newest Arleigh Burke- class guided missile destroyer , the USS Frank E Petersen Jr (DDG 121). The ship is scheduled to start service next month.
This vessel has sailed from the Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) division of Ingalls Shipbuilding in Mississippi, USA.
The inauguration will take place in Charleston, South Carolina.
Following commissioning , the USS Frank E Petersen Jr will be stationed at Joint Hawaiian Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
HII Ingalls Vice President of Shipbuilding Operations and former DDG 121 ship program manager Donny Dorsey said the USS Frank E Petersen Jr sailed long distances and demonstrated the shipyard's capabilities.
The DDG 121 is named after the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) general officer and first African-American aviator, Lieutenant General Frank E Petersen Jr.
