Long live Apply and Save. I by accident pressed Reset to Defaults. But also then you have to apply and safe. I chose for escape and then you can disregard. Learned something extra today. Thanks for this video again!

Once again, Mark proves why he is one of, if not THE preeminent MSFS YouTube resource.

There's a large number of people complaining in the MSFS Forum about loss of performance after the SU12 update. When they're told to delete their Rolling Cache, Manual Cache, and DX Shader Cache, they get back the fps and frame time numbers they had in SU11. I was one of those people, and learned that it's good practice to do this after every MSFS update, and to delete the Shader Cache after a GPU driver update as well. So far I'm enjoying the new update, and I agree that DX12 seems to be working well so far. Myself and others did notice a couple of things that weren't working well (some rotary encoders' behavior were wonky) but these are minor points that I'm hoping will be solved with future fixes. I was quite happy flying my Bonanza 1, 000 ft. over Manhattan getting a very smooth, stable, and gorgeous 60 fps with 14ms frame time @ 1440P with my 5800X and RTX 3090 Ti. Can't wait to dial in my brand new Reverb G2. I finally got my prescription lens inserts from VR Optician installed yesterday. Yes, Mark, I took your advice from another video, and paid the extra $32.00 for the Blue Light filters. 😉

Yes, I picked up the AN-2 also when I saw the price! Low and slow is always fun, also why I picked up the DHC-4 a few weeks back.

Thank you Mark for all your good advises . Please also note that deleting the nividea or Amd shader cache solved a lot of stuttering issues i had after a card change or a Sim update .

I would love to see content creators mention in the video or show notes what airports they are using in the video. Some of the airports look great and I for one would like to experience them myself.

Glad to hear the update hasn't caused you any headaches. I always wait a few days before doing the update to see if there are any major hiccups. Please say the update didn't upset your graphics settings!! Thanks Mark.

Thanks for the SU12 housekeeping pointers Mark. Definitely seeing improved DX12 performance and details in the rendering. I'd say for me on RTX3060ti around 2fps. Sim loading seems a little quicker too. Trustt you are well and looking forward to Spring and longer days. Winter has definetely been too long and drawn out for me.

All I know is that I just switched to DX12 but kept TAA at 70% of my 4k res and deleted the shader cache and the performance is a lot better for me. DX12 did help smooth some things out.

Thanks Mark. Any sign of a manual for the AN-2. Couldn't find one in the folder etc. Bit hard all in Russian. Cheers.

Luckily for me the SU12 Update caused no problems thus far, by that I mean the 4 hours I was on the sim last night was problem free. Load up times did not reduce significantly for me unfortunately. Oh well, No biggie as the sim is smooth as ever. BTW I forgot to empty the community folder nd still no problems at all. The FPS, stuttering and general smoothness of the sim is still the same... Absolutely perfect! By that I mean high FPS(with or without DLSS3) Practically NO stuttering! So all in all, though to be hones I can't see any changes from SU11 to SU12 I'm still happy as nothing broke.😂

Hi guys, does anyone know why my rolling cache still won't work? it instantly goes to 100% & that's it, I have to restart the sim & it still won't work, I don't know what to do about that
