The TRAVEL TO function in MSFS is a powerful and useful tool, often underutilised. Ideal for moving to different phases of your flight whilst enroute, and perfect for flight training such as ILS approaches etc. This video shows how to use this useful aid, applicable to both PC & Xbox aviators.

This a useful feature but you need to know you must have a flight plan loaded from the main screen for it to work. Plans loaded, for example, through the PMDG FMC (saved in the PMDG flight plan folder) are invisible to the Travel To function.

Many thanks for this excellent tutorial video (as well as all other videos)! I've been practicing landings for a few weeks now, and I've been annoyed that every time I've had to start flying from the beginning. Now I don't have to waste time anymore! Thanks for the clear and good explanation!

I had no idea this feature existed, I had only just tried adjusting the sim rate for the first time a couple days ago. I have to test how well this would work with economy addons, cuz if it won't break things, I think with this I could do much longer jobs and flights. Thanks for this!

Mark, loving this series. Used the slew mode this weekend to straighten up a 737 on stand @ KJFK but while I knew this travel to feature existed, I'd no idea it coped with estimating fuel burn on route. I might give the 333neo a trip across the pond later in the week and give it a try.

wow! Many, many thanks Mark; I was aware of this function but not in anything like the detail you covered. It will save me an enormous amount of time in practicing ILS et al approaches. I had no idea of the added IFR dep/apr capabilities so that will also help me a lot as a relative newbie. 👍🏻👌

Excellent tutorial! I’ve used “Travel To” whenever I have to quickly finish a flight by selecting “Taxi” placing me right on the runway. I can taxi to the Gates, Parking, or just shut down the aircraft on the runway. I don’t like having incomplete log entries.

Great tutorial! I see you zooming in and out on the MFD, but that doesn't work for me... There supposed to be a blue number in the lower right corner, representing the zoom range, but all I can see is a white icon with an 'x', as if the zoom function is disabled. I'm running MSFS on X Box-X. Is that the problem?

Used to have this but when I look in the menu now it is not there UNLESS I create a flight in the World Map. I was not able to add it to my Flow wheel at all. Thanks for reminding me of this feature and how I can use it.

Ive found a bug where my aircraft looses its sound when I travel to a waypoint. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
