iPhone 12/13/14: Power Button (Side Button) Delayed or Slow Response? Fixed!

I show you how to fix an iPhone 12, 13, 14 that has a delayed or slow response on the power button (side button) when you lock or put your phone to sleep. I hope this helps.

FOR THOSE WHO STILL GOT DELAY:

I just found out the problem, its the double click apple pay gesture, u need to turn it off (the reason is that the phone wanna make sure that if ur double clicking, it doesnt turn off by accident, so it waits to see if it a double click, or u just wanna turn off. The phone is basically waiting to see if ur double clicking, or not)

Make sure guided access is off and if any thing is checked in accessibility shortcuts UNCHECK IT! I had magnifier checked and it was causing the delay, I unchecked it and now my phone closes as soon as I hit the side button

Just turn off the Apple Pay double-click side button. That worked for me. I thought it was any kind of bug but it wasn’t. Just the Apple Pay feature

i have a fix, if you went to accessibility and the side button speed was set on default still

you probably have used the function called guided access, to fix the delay just turn off and on back or completely turn it off the guided access from settings not control center

this fixed my problem if it didnt work make sure when you press the button it doesnt feel stiff or like try to remember what you did before the issue came, wc guys

also from *accessibility shortcut*. i have this problem because previously im using iphone 7 by triple pressing home button and migrate to iphone xr. in xr i activated this function and the locksreen just got delayed. so, if u still have this problem, maybe this feature on.

It is because of guided access if your settings is already on the default ( side button setting)
Then you have to turn off guided access, and see the magic it’s fixed !

Giys the problem most of us had is that when we downloaded the wallet app it auto sets a doubble click of power button to activate it. Just close this and problem fixed

I don’t have a delay on my 14. It won’t turn off when I push the power button. Siri comes up but the phone power never turns off.

If you guy still got the delay after turn off, go to setting and serch for magnifier and disable it ( sorry for my english)
