The time has come! After my reaction to SOAD, this band came HIGHLY recommended so today I'm finally hearing Tool. We're watching the band and lead vocalist Maynard James Keenan perform the song Sober LIVE.

This song came out when I was drinking myself to death and I was very comforted to do so. My childhood was far from ideal and I just wanted to die already. I'm 73 years old, seen Tool twice, and I've watched this live version of Sober countless times (not this video by The Vocalyst). Sometimes I sit there in an awe inspired stony silence and sometimes it brings me to tears. I can't think of another song that I've heard since I started to pay attention to music in 1964 that carries the emotional power of this song. Love every Tool song but this one's special.
