‘Outlander’ Star Sam Heughan Reveals His Top Dating Rule

Sam Heughan is revealing what he does for self-care. "Breathing in some fresh air could really help, even a five, 10-minute walk a day out in nature if you can, is so good for your mental health," he told Access Hollywood. That isn't the only thing Sam revealed to Access. While playing a game of Sip or Spill featuring his Sassenach gin, the actor revealed his number one dating rule and his first celebrity crush. Sam also talked about his upcoming book, "Clanlands in New Zealand" which he co-wrote with his "Outlander" co-star Graham McTavish. While chatting with Access he revealed why they wanted to explore the country and spilled on working with his close friend! Sam and Graham's new book "Clanlands in New Zealand" is out Nov. 17.

Sam's personality always reminds me of an enthusiastic golden retriever puppy. He's always so passionate about what he is promoting, and he is such a great advocate for all things Scotland. I wish these interviewers would stop with the continued questions about what men wear beneath their kilts. It's so lame at this point, and even though Sam tries to be a good sport, it's such a waste of a question and extremely tacky. I really enjoy the authentic camaraderie between Sam and Graham McTavish. Their Clanlands books and Men in Kilts episodes are truly entertaining and make me want to visit Scotland and New Zealand someday.
