Hmm. Inspection at the regular truck inspection lane. I would have never thought about that. Even as a previous CDL driver and limo driver which require inspection in Illinois, I would have never thought about that as the place to get a car inspected for resale. I used to work driving commercially on the Illinois side and now I live on the Wisconsin side, and I wish our Wisconsin taxis and limos had to be inspected like they do on the Illinois side. Some of our taxis are in pretty lousy condition.

So how do you get a salvage tittle with a bill of sale only? What are the requirements? Dealer license or anything like that?

So a car be salvaged just over a DUI? How does that work?

It's ridiculous to me that the state won't simply look up the old title in their system, see that it's clean, and issue you a clean title provided you have the proper paperwork.
