Nice video and explanation. The only thing I would suggest is to anchor the expansion U-shape track to the post so that it will not expand with your pickets. If not, they will move with the expansion and the contraction of the pickets and not hide the gap which is what they are made for. I use pan head self-tapping screws.

great vid, you make it look easy and you answered my question. thanks! Hint: when using the power saw, let the widest part of the sled rest on the widest part of the board, you get a better cut. IMHO....

I only need an inch to fit a preassembled unit into the space from my old fence...instead of taking apart the already assembled unit, and having to cut the panel and the I just cut one inch from the outside piece....would be so much easier

What brand fence is that? I thought they came in full panels. This single panel pieces would be easier to work with than 6 foot sections.
