Well, I would be very dissapointed if the rice cooker had made the worst rice among all of them

Word of advice to Instant Pot users. Do NOT use the rice button as it will overcook your rice. Just do ten minutes on the default pressure cooker option and allow the steam to release naturally for 5-10 minutes.

Some advice. If the rice comes out mushy, you added too much water. I've been cooking rice in a pressure cooker since college and it's been perfect. I also use the 1 to 1 ratio and at some point started being able to eyeball it or just know at what level per rice looks right. It's all in the cook, not the tool.

I've had a rice cooker for years but after using an Instant Pot for awhile, I figured out how to make rice perfectly in it every time. The secret is to never use the presets.

I am Japanese who eats white rice almost everyday.
I bought instant pot to cook rice because Japanese rice cooker ( with iIH and presseure Model ) is over 300$
So I tried instant pot ( to cook rice with pressure )
But yes instant pot made good rice .BUT!
I think you right!
I stick with rice cooker.

I don't use the rice button on my Instant Pot. Depending what rice I do 3 minutes and then 10-12 minute natural release. Depends on the brand of rice you are using.

Commercialization has really turned peoples head to mash. You don't need a gadget to cook a dish humanity has been making on stoves for thousands of years. Just boil slightly under 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice. Add rice as water comes to a boil, cook at high heat until water and rice is same level. Cover and use your stoves lowest heat setting to finish. Perfect rice and no wasted kitchen appliances

Maybe the Instant Pot needs less water to cook rice. I suggest experiment with different cooking methods to cook perfect rice in the Instant Pot.

All three methods are alright if you experiment for a bit. But the basic rice cooker which is not being illustrated by you can be absolutely bloody useless no matter what you do with it by the way I always use a 2 to one ratio to do the rice as I like it

A rice cooker steams the rice. Steamed rice is far superior than rice that sits in boiling water.

I love my Instant pot for cooking rice. I use ether rice mode or manual pressure cook mode on low pressure and low heat. Firm, I cook the rice with a tablespoon of oil or butter. Fluffy, no oil, 5 min natural release followed by full release. The full release causes built-up pressure in the rice to fluff it.

Wash ALL rice throughly until water is clear (or as close to clear as possible). Most rice has very high arsenic levels (rice from Thailand is better, and as are some rice from California). White is safer than brown rice. Extremely important if you eat rice everyday as I do.

10 minutes it's ok, sometimes 8 minutos is perfect for rice, 12 is too much

If your rice isn't good in the instant pot you are doing it wrong. Normal pressure 3 mins then let it naturally depressurize his rice came out soggy.

I have the panasonic one.. at first whenever I cook the rice I choose the ‘white rice’ menu and Omg it’s take so long to cook like 40-45minutes and the rice not looking good😂 one day I tried to use ‘quick cook’ menu and my rice looking good and cook well..

I have this exact rice cooker and hate it. Leaves a crust on bottom and have added more cups to it and still same problem. Not sure how u got yours to turn out so.well on that setting because for me it's a dud and will return tomorrow I think. Will try your method 1 last time and see what happens but am very doubtful
