I didn’t qualify JEE back in 2011 when I took it. Studied in a Tier 2 engineering college. Took the campus placement, worked for 2 years, cracked CAT, got into an IIM and working on something I always wanted to do. Don’t get disheartened folks. JEE is just a milestone, not the end. Life will keep presenting you with opportunities all the time. Just hang in there and work hard.

My parents wanted me to study for JEE in Kota. That's why I took commerce. I am 108% happier than my science counterparts.
Edit: Why are you people so angry? What I said is just a fact. One has good scope in commerce also, apart from sheep walk for engineering and MBBS.

I was also of the conviction that getting a degree from a prestigious institute matters most. I gave 2 IIT-JEE attempts in 2010 and 2011, gave 3 AIEEE attempts in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Couldn't clear cut off for any of the exams for any of the years. I felt suicidal and was deep into depression. Took admission in a decent private college in my state and put hard yards trying to self learn and be updated about new technologies and trends in market. After 4 years, graduated in 2016. many MNC's rejected my job application due to 2 years of career gap. Currently working at Shell, one of the biggest Petro chemical companies, earning equivalent to an IIM graduate. To anyone feeling sad or depressed, don't give up hope, believe in yourself, run your own race, don't compare your life with others, self educate yourself, be aware of new opportunities, you'll surely make it.

Sir I am 16 weeks old in my mom's womb. I am unsure of whether my mother is planning to get me aborted or keep me. On the sad off chance that she decides to let me live, I am planning to crack JEE and get a selection in IIT Delhi. I am however worried that I won't be able to finish the portions by the time I am born. I would like to acknowledge that I am a fast learner, I have learnt basic concepts of class 10 maths and science already like real numbers, linear equations, electric current, optics, basic nomenclature, etc. I have also skimmed through FIITJEE material for 11th such as resonance, P block, s block, SHM, sets and relations, rotational mechanics, vectors, limits and derivatives, etc. within 2 weeks. I am hopefully going to get aborted. But if the odds are not with me then I will have to continue going through the pain of having to study. Note: My brain is still under structural development since I am only 16 fetal weeks old. I am planning to enroll in online coaching class as of now due to lockdown. Is it already too late to start preparing for JEE?? My mom's friends' kids are younger and have completed entire 11th and 12th syllabus and are revising important concepts with one shot videos on YouTube. Pls help.

My cousin actually went to Kota for IIT preparation, didn't get computer science so ended up chosing NIT. I strongly believe our education system and certain so called prestigious institutions need to lose it's greed game, identity or importance.

Believe me exams like JEE is not beneficial for anyone.... I qualified JEE back in 21 and is in IITG pursuing Chemical Engineering. I was always a bookworm and actually enjoyed science and was passionate about it. I was seeing lectures on hybridization(how molecules and atoms shape themselves) back I class 8 because I loved the every bit of it. And then came class 11 and of course coaching classes.... Just yesterday YouTube recommended me a video by Fermilab (a YouTube channel which is run by actual scientists discussing particle physics) and I began to wander when that part me died and that I never notice it fading away in my preparation days. Suprising thing is that today my parents have given me free reign to do whatever I want but I find myself doing DSA preparing for the upcoming intern season...

Awareness is important here. If you don’t get into iits with your jee score, there are many universities that accept jee scores. Plus, the one exam jee might not be the best way to judge and this is exactly why students have to apply for multiple entrance exams for different streams that they might be interested in. Please be aware of your options today 🙏🙏

Totally agreed. But after jee, being here, I feel like the habit of effort that we put for jee is now the foundation for my research life.

Jee is not about rote learning, there can some parts of it which is to be memorised but 70 percent of the stuff is conceptual and analytical

As a JEE student who just passed 12th, I feel like JEE isn't half as bad as NEET. If you mess up the first attempt, there is a second. If you mess up that one, there are more entrance exams for colleges like vit, bits, etc. Whereas in NEET, there is only one exam. Mess that up and it's either a break year or a low tier college or pay a lot of fees for college
